De Tamilska tigrarnas självmordsterrorism

De Tamilska tigrarna (egentligen Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam — LTTE) är en befrielserörelse på Sri Lanka med en sekularistisk och marxistisk ideologi. Denna grupp innehar för närvarande världsrekordet i självmordsdåd. Dess namnförkortning är alltså LTTE och engelska Wikipedia har följande att förtälja:

LTTE had carried out more suicide bombings than any other organization on the face of the earth.According to the experts at Janes securities, between 1980 to 2000,LTTE hadcarried out a total number of 168 suicide attacks on civilians and military targets.The number of suicide attacks easily exceeded the combine total of Hizbullah and Hamas suicide attacks carried out during the same period.
